MCA calls for 100% renewable electricity by 2030

Montclair Climate Action has published an opinion piece in the Montclair Local calling on the town to use the energy aggregation program to move to 100% renewable electricity by 2030. Citing the increasing signs of climate change around the world, group president David Korfhage called on the township to take more aggressive action to address the climate crisis. “Montclair has long prided itself as an environmentally-minded town,” he writes, “and in many ways we have been. But our response to the current climate crisis has been inadequate. As a community, we need to come together and act. We can start by committing to 100% renewable electricity by 2030.”
